Petition re. firearms law changes

Update, 25 Jan.: it is reported that thousands of signatures have not been counted because the signers failed to complete the second step.  You should have received an email containing a link to confirm your identity, and you must click on that link.  If you didn’t receive that email, check your spam folder, or try the process again.

Via the Gun Blog, we learn of a new e-petition now collecting signatures.  The petition requests that the Government of Canada change Canada’s firearms laws not by Order in Council (as threatened by the Trudeau government), but instead through the House of Commons:

…We, the undersigned, citizens of Canada, call upon the Government of Canada to put any new firearms laws, bans, buyback programs or changes to licencing before the House of Commons to be debated.

You may wish to add your signature to the petition.  As of this writing (21 Dec) it has reached 48,000 signatures.  Note that you will receive an email to validate your identity. You must click the link provided in the email, to complete the signature process.  If you don’t receive the confirmation email, check your spam folder.
