Thanks to the CSSA E-News for alerting me to this item from the Owen Sound Sun-Times:
Canada’s Minister of Border Security and Organized Crime Reduction will be in Durham in February.
Bill Blair will be at the Durham Community Centre from 2 to 4 p.m. on Feb. 3 for consultations on firearms-related topics, Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MP Larry Miller announced on Thursday.
Miller wrote Blair in September inviting him to come to the riding to hear from rural Canadians about the government’s firearms policies. Miller’s office has been working with Blair’s office since then to find a date that would work with the minister’s schedule, and after a lengthy back-and-forth they agreed on the Feb. 3 meeting, it said in a news release from Miller’s office.
Feb. 3 is a Sunday, so they should be able to hear from plenty of rural Canadians who are concerned about Bill C-71.
