Don’t forget our annual FAMILY DAY to be held at the clubhouse on Sunday, July 8th. The club supplies the food, so bring your family and come out for a social afternoon with your fellow hunt club families. Please bring your own drinks and lawn chairs. Come out around 3:30 pm, eat between 5 – 5:30 pm.
Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, Zone H (our zone) has a bursary to provide financial aid to college students from the area. Here are the rules and regulations:
A. To be given to the candidate attending College or University in the field of Fauna or Flora management.
B. Candidates from Zone H will be chosen from the applications submitted to the Zone H Secretary/Treasurer who will present the applications to the Zone H board of directors for selection and approval.
C. The number of applicants shall be limited to two (2) in any calendar year.
D. The amount of the Bursary shall be $500.00 per semester to a maximum of One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00) per calendar year per successful candidate.
E. Duration of this Bursary is for a two (2) year period.
F. Successful candidates are eligible for one (1) two-year term.
G. Successful candidates will receive payment in the following manner.
H. Each semester $500.00 will be paid upon completion of a semester and the remaining Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) on completion of a semester. Proof of acceptance and successful completion of semesters must be submitted and received by the Secretary/Treasurer Zone H before receiving any more money.
I. Candidates must be a member of Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters Zone H and be a member in good standing. And must be a member of the OFAH for the previous twelve months.
Applications should be made in writing to Zone H Secretary/Treasurer. Send completed applications to Secretary/Treasurer OFAH Zone H.

It draws upon the response from OFAH’s survey of its members, and describes many problems with the bill, and suggested changes. Bring your shotguns and get ready for a friendly, fun, informal few hours of trap shooting (and whatever else we can dream up — last year there was a combination of golf /shotgun shoots 😉 with our fellow hunt club members, family and friends. On Saturday, April 28, the South Grey Hunters Association held its annual Fishing Derby for kids. Turnout was very good despite the cold weather.
